All our staff are qualified Chartered Physiotherapists. A Chartered Physiotherapist has undergone at least 3 years of professional study and training at a college or university.

These courses are regularly inspected by the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapists). The CSP has been in existence for over 100 years continually improving examination and treatment techniques and evaluating new concepts for effectiveness and safety not all Physiotherapists are fully trained to this extent and may not be members of the CSP. Only Chartered Physiotherapists can give you this guarantee of training, skills, and ongoing professionalism.

Our Physiotherapists:

Debbie Mitchell

Debbie trained at the University of Huddersfield, qualifying in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She completed her junior physiotherapy rotations in Northampton General Hospital, progressing to a Senior Physiotherapist in musculoskeletal outpatients in 2003. She continued to work for Northampton Primary Care Trust as a Senior Physiotherapist until April 2008, working both in the Outpatient Physiotherapy Department and as a Community Physiotherapist with the Falls Prevention Team. During this time Debbie developed her expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy working for private hospitals and practises, doing evening physiotherapy clinics and occasional weekend work. She re-located to Hertfordshire in April 2008 and joined the team at HPEL. Debbie has further specialised in acupuncture for pain relief and keeps fit by doing Pilates in her spare time.

Kate Beynon

Kate graduated with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy from Kings College London in 2003 and headed to Brighton to start her physiotherapy career. Working for Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS trust she gained extensive experience in several disciplines of physiotherapy, including orthopaedics, post -surgery, neurological rehabilitation and musculoskeletal outpatients. She specialised as a Senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist in 2006 and joined the HPEL team in 2007.

Our Administration Staff

Our admin staff is there to help you with your payments, insurance and appointments. They will keep you updated on appointments and the progress of any insurance claim or application. Our friendly staff will do everything to accommodate your needs, so do not hesitate to ask if we can be of any further assistance.

Liane Wade – Office Manager

Our Liane is noted for her warm and friendly customer care and attention to detail. She is always the client’s first point of contact here on our reception.

Her principal role is to ensure that you have everything you need at your disposal from a suitable appointment time, to ensuring that your insurance claim forms are completed correctly and submitted in a timely manner.

She will liaise with your insurance company on your behalf thereby taking all the stress and strain from this aspect of your journey back to ultimate health.

Rose Pulham – Assistant

Our Rose also assists on reception and with general admin tasks, but you will also find her in our specialist Exercise Studio assisting client’s adaptation to the machines. If anyone knows how to use these very special machines, it’s Rose. She will ensure that your obtain the best out of your programmes and is there to offer advise and guidance.
